Under the banner of Daan Utsav, observed from 2nd to 8th October 2025, the NSS Units of HKM Degree College Bandipora, under the guidance of Programme Officers Prof. Irfan Ahmad and Dr. Wasia Hamid, organised a cleanliness drive on 3rd October 2025 in and around the college premises.

The College Debates and Seminar Committee, in collaboration with the NSS Units, organised a special lecture on Mahatma Gandhi on 30th September 2025 as part of the ongoing Gandhi Jayanti and Sewa Parv 2025 celebrations.

Under the banner of Sewa Parv 2025, the NCORD Cell of the college, in collaboration with the NSS Units, organised an interactive session on “The Growing Consumption of Drugs among Youth in Kashmir and its Prevention” on 29th September 2025.

The College Health Care Committee, in collaboration with NCC Cadets, organised a Free Medical Camp as part of Sewa Parv 2025 on September 27, 2025. The camp was made possible with the support of a dedicated medical team of ten experts deputed by the Chief Medical Officer, Bandipora, under the efficient leadership of Dr. Tariq Ahmad.

Under the initiative Sewa Parv 2025, the Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department, Bandipora, in collaboration with the NCC Unit and Department of Botany, organised a Mega Plantation Drive on 26-09-2025.

The Department of Sociology, in collaboration with the College NCORD Cell and the Women Empowerment Cell, organised a One-Day Workshop on Gender Sensitisation on 26th September 2025 under the Sewa Parv initiative. The programme aimed at cultivating awareness about gender roles, challenging stereotypes, and promoting a culture of equality and respect within society.

In connection with the Gandhi Jayanti celebrations, the NSS Units of Government Degree College (GDC) Bandipora organised District Level Competitions in Painting, Quiz, and Declamation categories on 25th September 2025 at the college campus. The programme was held under the able guidance of NSS Programme Officers, Prof. Irfan Ahmad and Dr. Wasia Hamid, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of GDC Bandipora, GDC Sumbal, GDC Hajin, and GDC Ajas.

Under the banner of Sewa Parv 2025, the Eco Club and NSS Units of HKM Government Degree College Bandipora organised a Plantation Drive within the college campus on 25th September 2025. The programme was conducted under the able leadership of the respective conveners, Prof. Mohd. Salim (Eco Club) and Prof. Irfan Ahmad (NSS).

Continuing the spirit of Sewa Parv 2025, the NSS Units and the College Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Committee of HKM GDC Bandipora, accompanied by faculty members and non-teaching staff, visited Government Middle School Shamthan, Bandipora, on 24th September 2025.

The NSS Units of the College, in collaboration with the District Police Bandipora, organised a special programme on 24th September 2025 to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The theme of the event was “The Role of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in the Indian Freedom Struggle and National Unity.”

Under the banner of Sewa Parv 2025, the College NCORD Cell, in collaboration with the NSS Units and the Literary and Drama Club, prepared and guided a contingent of 20 students to participate in a grand Sewa Parv event organised by the District Administration Bandipora at Chitternar on 22nd September 2025.

As part of the series of activities conducted under Sewa Parv 2025, the College NCORD Committee, in collaboration with the NSS Units of the college, organised an Awareness Poster Rally on the theme “Drug Abuse Prevention” on 22nd September 2025.

As part of the ongoing Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations, the College NSS Units, under the able guidance of NSS Programme Officers Prof. Irfan Ahmad, Dr. Wasia Hamid and Dr. Idrees Ahmad, organised a Quiz Competition on the theme Life and Philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi on 20th September 2025.

Continuing the spirit of Sewa Parv 2025, the NSS Units and College Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Committee of GDC Bandipora, along with faculty members and non-teaching staff, visited Government Girls Middle School Aloosa on 20th September 2025.

As part of the Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations, the College NSS Units organised a Painting Competition on the theme Dandi March and Quit India Movement on 20th September 2025.

Continuing the spirit of Seva Parv 2025, the NSS Units and College Unnat Bharat Bharat Abhiyan Committee members, along with faculty members and non-teaching staff, visited Government Middle School Malangam on 18th September 2025.

As part of the 14-Day Internship under Sewa-Parv conducted by the District Municipal Council, the college deputed 15 students to participate in the Internship Program at the Council Headquarters on 17 September 2025.

As part of the fortnight-long Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations beginning on 17th September and culminating on 2 October 2025, the college organised a Declamation Contest on the theme “Relevance of Gandhian Philosophy in Contemporary Time” on 17th September 2025.

Under the banner of Sewa Parv-2025 (17th September to 2nd October 2025), the college inaugurated a series of activities to be conducted during the fortnight, culminating on Gandhi Jayanti.

The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) in Bandipora, in collaboration with the Innovation and Incubation Cell of the Government Degree College, Bandipora, organised an Idea Pitching Session on September 2, 2025, as part of the ongoing Bootcamp on the Startup Idea Challenge.

Three faculty members from the HKM Government Degree College, Bandipora actively participated in a two-day workshop on “Introduction to Embedded Systems and Robotics” held on 25th and 26th August 2025. The programme was hosted by Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Srinagar, in collaboration with IIT Bombay.

The College, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), Bandipora, organised a counselling session on Startup Bootcamp on August 19, 2025, under the guidance of Dr. Zahid Hussain, Convener of the College Innovation and Incubation Committee.

Our NCC officer Dr. Nasarul Islam and Cadet Nazrana recieving awards from Director General NCC India.. Dr. Islam recieved the best officer of the year and the Nazrana recieved the Cadet of the year award.....Proud moment for all of us!

HKM Government Degree College Bandipora celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotic fervour, and active participation from students, NCC and NSS volunteers, as well as the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. The campus was adorned with the colours of the national flag, reflecting the spirit of freedom and unity.

In continuation of the initiatives under Swachhata Abhiyan and as part of the on-going activities leading up to the 79th Independence Day celebrations, the College Cleanliness Committee, in collaboration with the NSS Unit of the college, organised a comprehensive Cleanliness Drive on 14th August 2025.

On 11 August 2025, students from various colleges of District Bandipora showcased their talent and competitive spirit at the Divisional Level College Competitions held at Government College of Education, Srinagar.

Fifty students from various colleges of District Bandipora, including GDC Bandipora, GDC Sumbal, GDC Ajas, and GDC Hajin, led by the lead college HKM GDC Bandipora, visited and actively participated in the prestigious Chinar Book Festival held at SKICC Srinagar on 9 August 2025.

The NSS Units of the College organised an Intra-District Competition on 8th August 2025 as part of the Independence Day Celebrations and the Viksit Bharat Campaign. The event brought together students from Government Degree Colleges Ajas, Sumbal, Hajin, and the host institution, GDC Bandipora, for a day filled with spirited participation and patriotic fervour.

The Office of the Dean Students Welfare, in collaboration with the Admission Committee, successfully organised a Fresher’s Meet on 6th August 2025. The programme was held under the able guidance and leadership of Prof. Tariq Ahmad Bhat, Dean Students’ Welfare and Convener of the Admission Committee.

In continuation of the activities under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and as part of the Independence Day 2025 celebrations, the college NSS Units, under the guidance of NSS Programme Officers Dr. Mubashir Hamid Mir and Prof. Bilquees Rasool, organised a Seminar Competition on 5th August 2025. The theme for the event was “The Role of J&K Youth in Achieving Viksit Bharat @2047.”

In continuation of the initiatives under the Swachhata Abhiyan and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, and as part of the ongoing activities leading up to Independence Day 2025, the College Cleanliness Committee organised a Cleanliness Drive on 5th August 2025.

As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and in continuation of the activities leading up to Independence Day 2025, the college NSS Units, under the guidance of NSS Programme Officers Dr. Mubashir Hamid Mir and Prof. Bilquees Rasool, organised an Essay Writing Competition on 4th August 2025. The theme of the competition was “The Role of Education in Promoting Peace and Unity.”

As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga–2025 campaign and in the run-up to Independence Day celebrations, the NSS Units and NCC Cadets of the college jointly organised a vibrant Tiranga Rally within the college campus on 04 August 2025. This event was one among a series of patriotic activities scheduled till 15th August, aiming to foster a spirit of national pride and unity.

As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and in the run-up to Independence Day 2025 celebrations, the NSS Units of the college, under the guidance of NSS Programme Officers Dr. Mubashir Hamid Mir and Prof. Bilquees Rasool, organised a Painting Competition on 2nd August 2025. The theme of the competition was “Portraits of Unsung Heroes of Indian Independence.”

As part of the Swachhata Abhiyan and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, and in the run-up to the Independence Day 2025 celebrations, the College Cleanliness Committee organised a Deweeding Drive in the college campus on 2nd August 2025.

As part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and the Independence Day 2025 celebrations, the NSS Units of the college, under the guidance of Programme Officers Dr. Mubashir Hamid Mir and Prof. Bilquees Rasool, organised a National Anthem Singing Competition on 1st August 2025. The event was held under two categories: Solo and Group Performance.

Two NCC students, Wahid Hassan (Reg No. JK2024SDIA2180873) and Aamir Farooq (Reg No. JK2024 SDIA2180765) left for Sonamarg today to participate in BMC Course to be conducted from 25th July to 17th August 2025.

Muzamil, 2nd Semester student got 3rd Position in One-Day "Here and Beyond" Student Conference - 2025 at Govt. College for Women, M.A. Road Srinagar. The student was accompanied by Prof. Sajad Manzoor, Assistant Professor (Political Science)

Prof. Sajad Manzoor has always been known for his unwavering dedication to his work and his deep sense of responsibility. A disciplined academic and a committed professional, he brought both formality and grace to every task he undertook. His student-friendly attitude made him highly approachable and admired by learners, while his hardworking nature set an inspiring example for colleagues. His presence will be missed, but his contributions will be remembered with respect and gratitude.

Bandipora to Bangalore-Building Communities and creating Employment Through Culinary Enterpreneurship

The Career Counseling and Placement Cell of HKM GDC Bandipora in collaboration with 26 Assam Rifles (Wullar Battalion) Bandipora organized a comprehensive One Day Program on preparing students for job opportunities with a special focus on the Agnipath Scheme on 24th February 2024.

Hassan Khoyihami Memorial Degree College Bandipora organised a Painting Competition on December 1, 2023 to commemorate WORLD AIDS DAY on the theme "Let Communities Lead."
