Hassan Khoyihami Memorial Degree College Bandipora organised a Painting Competition on December 1, 2023 to commemorate WORLD AIDS DAY on the theme "Let Communities Lead." The primary aim was to foster awareness about the HIV/AIDS pandemic, pay tribute to lives affected, and advocate for community-led efforts against HIV/AIDS. Students and NSS Volunteers actively participated, with Ms. Aafiya Ashiq from 6th Semester securing the 1st Position, and Mr. Liyaqat Hussain (1st Semester) and Ms. Muneeba Arif (1st Semester) securing 2nd and 3rd Positions, respectively. During the event, Prof. (Dr.) Masood Ahmad Malik, the Principal of the College, emphasized the significance of educating students and youth about HIV infections and the AIDS pandemic. He underscored the importance of heightened awareness, combating stigma, and involving communities in the fight against this menace. The event was organized by Red Ribbon Club of the College.
